Behind the painting
Street musicians are a joy and this guitarist (in my imaginary setting) was no exception. The title, With Some Strings Attached, derives from the idea that besides the physical strings in his guitar case and on the guitar, plus the strings to the vanishing points I placed on the floor of my studio in order to draw the perspective accurately for the cobble stones, there is also the “string” attached that the listener should contribute for the pleasure of listening and to support the musician. It is a difficuIt life…and it was a slow afternoon’s taking as that is my dollar bill.
